Abstract
142,487. Bassmann, H. Nov. 30, 1917, [Convention date]. Concrete pipes. - Highly resistant porous pipes for drainage &c. purposes are made from a mixture of sharpedged gravel or the like with cement and water, without sand. The mixture is stamped in moulds by means of tamping tools having knife-like or other pointed projections, such as shown at B, which penetrate the material, whereby the gravel particles are rearranged with their flat surfaces relatively superposed.
