1412873 Cellular packaging elements DOW CHEMICAL CO 7 Feb 1973 [7 Feb 1972 (2)] 6113/73 Heading B8P A carton or flat for eggs or other fragile articles comprises a body section having a plurality of downwardly directed article receiving cells 20 separated by flexible extension walls 26, 28 upwardly directed from, and thinner than, the cell walls. Each pair of adjacent cells are separated by a pair of walls joined at the top by a wall 30. Symmetrically disposed between each four adjacent cells is a flat horizontal wall 22. The carton may be formed from a polystyrene foam sheet or from moulded pulp.
