Abstract

1399084 Drying O HUBNER 6 March 1974 [6 March 1973] 9961/74 Heading F4G A foldable clothes drier comprises a hot air blower 7 a flexible drying bag 6 with an inlet aperture for hot air supplied by the blower and a plurality of discharge apertures 6À3 for the moisture laden drying air, the interior of the drying bag being accessible through a well thereof by a fastener 6.1, a first stirrup 11 for suspending the drying bag and a second stirrup 2.1 inside the bat for clothes to be dried therein, wherein the bag is accommodated in a case like container 1 having a lower portion 3 and joined thereto an upper portion 2 comprising the housing of the blower, the container being opened by relative movements of the portions 2, 3 to put the drier into an operational condition the upper portion having an annular discharge slit for passage therethrough of the hot air from the blower into the drying bag and being provided on its underside with the stirrup 2.1 and with means for attaching the bag. The container is maintained in the open position by a two part hinged stay 12. The hot air blower comprises a radial fan which is driven by a low voltage permanent magnet D.C. motor an annular resistance heater being provided on the pressure side of the blower in the plane of the fan rotor and concentrically with an annular hot air discharge slit.
