Abstract

1396584 Flashing ERNEST WEDGE (ROOFING) LTD 26 April 1973 [21 June 1972] 28947/72 Heading E1W [Also in Division F4] A flashing strip comprises two rectangularly inclined elongate water impermeable flanges 2, 3 one of which has an upstanding ridge 7. The ridge is hollowed by a corresponding groove on the opposite side of the flange 2 and the flanges 2, 3 terminate in outwardly slanting edge portions 4, 6. The ridge provides a guide for a cement fillet applied in situ over the flange 3 to form a triangular section concrete strip. The flashing strip may be formed of plastics or reinforced roofing felt. The outer surface of the flange 3 may be roughened to provide a key to the concrete.
