Abstract

1389306 Bearings CAM GEARS Ltd 19 May 1972 23629/72 Heading F2A A bearing bush 1 having inner and outer bearing surfaces 3, 4 comprises a body having a wall part 5 carrying one bearing surface and a skirt part 6 integral with and extending longitudinally to overlie the wall part laterally spaced therefrom, the skirt part carrying the other bearing surface there being slots 8, 9 in the bush extending laterally away from the bearing surfaces. The slots extend laterally only part way through the bush but extend throughout the longitudinal extent of the wall or skirt. The slots in the inner and outer surfaces are preferably alternate. The bush may be constituted by a plurality of elements whose cross-sections are sectors.
