1384030 Zn-MnO2 alkaline battery V A NAUMENKO T G LYAPUNTSOVA N S LIDORENKO E S LEBEDEVA L F PENKOVA and V N ALESHIN 24 Aug 1973 40292/73 Heading H1B A battery comprises a stack of positive electrodes 2, negative electrodes 3 and separators (Figs. 2, 3, not shown). Each electrode 2, Fig. 4, comprises a perforated metal frame 13 containing manganese dioxide powder and each electrode 3 comprises a copper plate coated with porous zinc, Fig. 5. The separators retain KOH electrolyte which may be thickened. Conducting strips 9, 11 connect the electrodes to terminals 10, 12. A toothed insulating block 15 maintains the upper ends of the stack components in spaced relationship.
