Abstract
1382791 Suction boxes PULMAC RESEARCH Ltd 27 June 1972 [3 May 1971] 12702/ 71 Heading D2A A device for draining a wire 10 comprises a vacuum box having spaced-apart foils 14 each of which includes a leading wire-supporting surface and a recessed trailing surface, the recess having a depth such that the trailing surface does not support the wire but such that the distance of the trailing surface from the wire is not great enough to allow water toflow between the wire and the trailing surface. An intermediate surface connecting the recessed trailing surface to the leading surface diverges from the leading surface at an angle greater than 5‹ and is shown as 90‹.
