Abstract

1359179 Strip guides ANACONDA AMERICAN BRASS CO 16 Nov 1971 [18 Dec 1970] 63231/71 Heading B8R [Also in Division B3] An adjustable guide 5 for guiding metallic strips 1 of different width and thickness to processing stations comprises a base-plate 11 having a planar guide surface 10 and a pair of transverse tracks 19, 21 in which are located guide blocks 17 supporting a pair of interchangeable guide-bars 13, 15 provided with guide rebates 34 which engage the longitudinal edges of the strips. The guide-bars 13, 15 are associated with setting screw assemblies 22 for adjusting the bars relative to each other and the strip 1. When set the bars 13, 15 are clamped by clamps 31.
