Abstract

1356639 Clutch control INA ROULEMENTS SA 29 July 1971 [12 March 1971] 35622/71 Heading F2L In a clutch release bearing 1 the inner race 3 for the bearings 4 is mounted on the clutch output shaft and is axially movable and rotatable relative thereto. As shown the inner race is mounted by needle bearings 7, but these may be replaced by a bush of bearing material (e.g. bronze, plastics material or sintered self lubricating material), roller bearings, or adjoining rings of ball bearings (Figs. 2a, 2b, and 2d, not shown). The ball and needle bearings of Fig. 1 may also be sealed at their ends (Fig. 2c, not shown). The clutch release member C acts on the outer race 2 in Fig. 1, and the inner race contacts the diaphragm spring of the clutch E. These roles may be reversed (Figs. 3a, to 3d, not shown).
