Abstract
1351380 Vending machines GLORY KOGYO KK 20 Oct 1971 [23 Oct 1970] 48684/71 Heading G4V In a vending machine signals from article selection switches P 1 -P 6 , signals produced on lines J 1 -J 6 of a price setting circuit J according to the value of coins dropped into the machines, and signals succeedingly and repetitively produced on lines L 1 -L 6 of a rotation converting circuit Mx fed by pulses from a pulse oscillator O, are fed to a three-condition collating circuit NA 2 having gates A 1 -A 6 which in the event of suitable inputs feed a signal to a clutch section K to control respective ejection devices for delivery of the selected article. The circuit NA 2 produces a further signal when the input conditions of any one of the gates A 1 -A 6 are satisfied to block a control gate NA 1 between the pulse oscillator O and the converting circuit Mx so that the output of this circuit is held on the particular line L 1 -L 6 connected to that gate. The pulse oscillator O is preferably arranged to be switched on when the first coin of each transaction is dropped into the machine. In a further embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) the gates A 1 -A 6 are connected to a common flip-flop (M), the output of which is fed to gates (A 11 )-(A 16 ) of a two-condition collating circuit (NA 3 ), these gates receiving at their other input the signals on lines L 1 -L 6 and having the outputs connected to the clutch section K. In order to ensure that no more pulses are fed to the converting circuit Mx after the input conditions of one of the gates A 1 -A 6 are satisfied, which might occur if say a selection switch were closed near the end of the duration of a signal on one of the lines L 1 -L 6 , a delay circuit (D) and further two condition collating circuit (NA 4 ) may be added (Figs. 4 to 6, not shown). This result may also be achieved by arranging the pulse oscillator to be operated only after closure of a selection switch.
