Abstract
1345977 Gas filter cleaning DUSTRACTION Ltd 10 July 1972 [8 July 1971] 32018/71 Heading B1T Inward-flow gas filter bags or tubes 10 are cleaned by reverse flow gas which comprises a primary flow of compressed air directed by nozzles 15 towards the open mouth of each bag and a secondary flow of filtered gas induced by the primary flow, which draws filtered gas from the surrounding space through apertures 16' in a tube 16 enclosing each nozzle 15. Dust-laden gas and filtered gas zones are separated by tube plate 13. Tubular bags 10 may be arranged in rows with the respective nozzles 15 of each row supplied from a common manifold 14. Electrically operated valves direct a series of pulses of gas of 0.1 to 0.25 seconds duration into each manifold in turn. In Figs. 2, 3 (not shown) a row of bags is replaced by an integral structure resembling a row of bags joined together.
