1332105 Convertible divans FRAMAR SpA 29 Jan 1972 4289/72 Heading A4J A convertible divan comprises two separate units A and B which are arranged side by side in a closed position to form a divan (Fig.1) and at least part of which are automatically moved apart when the units are opened to form separate twin beds (Fig.2). Each unit comprises a fixed frame 1 on which a movable frame 9 is slidably mounted, a folding bed frame 16b being pivotally connected to the movable frame 9 and connected to the fixed frame 1 through a crankshaped connecting element 25 pivoted to the fixed frame such that during unfolding of the bed frame 16b the element 25 acts as a tie to cause lateral displacement of the movable frame with respect to the fixed frame.
