Abstract

1328539 Multi-compartement packages INOUE-JAPEX RESEARCH Inc 10 Nov 1970 53432/70 Heading B8C [Also in Division B1] To prepare a dental filling, a package, having a partition separating a liquid component from a powdered component, is squeezed between a support and a roller to cause the partition to rupture and the components to be admixed. The liquid may be contained in an inner tube 5 surrounded by an outer tube 2 containing the powder. Alternatively a weakened transverse seal between two opposed sheets divides the package into two compartments 3, 4. In further embodiments, the inner tube 5 is divided into compartments (3, 3<SP>1</SP>, 311, Fig. 2), the outer tube 2 is replaced by a pair of opposed webs (Figs. 4A, 4B), and the packages are interconnected to form chains. The support may be planar with the roller being hand or motor operated, or the support may be a roller between which and the first roller the package is squeezed.
