1321815 Oral penicillin compositions BEECHAM GROUP Ltd 29 June 1970 [3 July 1969] 33539/69 Heading A5B Novel orally administrable pharmaceutical compositions having antibiotic activity against Gram-positive and -negative bacteria comprise a conventional pharmaceutical carrier and a penicillin of formula: or a non-toxic salt thereof, wherein R is a phenyl group and R' is a C 2 -C 5 alkyl group, a tetrahydropyranyl group, a thienyl group or a thienylmethyl group. Suitable salts are those of Na, K, Ca, Al, ammonium or substituted ammonium.
