1321791 Collapsable lantern CHUNG MEI METAL & PLASTIC FACTORY Ltd 5 Jan 1972 460/72 Heading F4R A lantern comprises a base 2 for holding a battery, a two part connecting member 4 including a stem 5 secured to the base and an arch support 6 of wire supporting a shade 3 of translucent plastics material via a slot 12 in the shade, the lantern being capable of rearrangement for packing purposes. For packing the shade is detached and the arch 6 released from notches 9 at the top of the stem and rotated to lie almost parallel with the stem. The stem contains a switch 27 and bulb holder 24. The stem may also be removed from the base and placed therein to reduce further overall packing dimensions.
