Abstract

1319668 Photographic enlargers PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE VEB 22 Dec 1970 60781/70 Heading G2A In micro-film re-enlargement apparatus having a rotatable original holder 1, a monitor screen for viewing a film frame prior to enlargement thereof, and having a choice of lenses of different focal length, there is provided means for preventing a copy being made if the film frame to be imaged is in a viewing rather than in a projecting position, so as to utilize fully the copying area of electro-photographic material. For a lens of short focal length, a switch (11) Fig. 3 (not shown), is closed. Depending on the position of the holder 1 a switch 9 or a switch 10 is closed, the former being closed when a frame 3 is in both the viewing and projecting position. While the latter is closed only when a frame 4 is in the viewing position. In the latter case, switches 10, (11) do not complete a current path to a manually operable switch (15), thus depression thereof will have no result, and copying will not take place. For double size frames Fig. 2 (not shown) a longer focal length lens is utilized, thereby closing a switch (12). In this case, switch 10 will be closed when a frame (5) is in both the viewing and projecting positions, while switch 9 is closed only when a frame (6) is in the viewing position, and switches 9, (12) do not complete a current path to the manually operable switch (15). Lamps (13, 14) are provided to indicate readiness for copying and the insertion of a microfilm 2 having double size frames.
