Abstract

1319415 3-Pyridylmethyl N-nicotinoylglycinate SOC D'ETUDES DE PRODUITS CHIMIQUES 7 Jan 1972 [8 Jan 1971] 942/71 Heading C2C The novel title compound is obtained by reacting 3-pyridinemethanol with N-nicotinoylglycine, obtained by hydrolysing ethyl N- nicotinoylglycinate resulting from the reaction of nicotinoyl chloride hydrochloride on glycine hydrochloride. Pharmaceutical compositions, suitable for oral or parenteral administration, contain the above novel compound in admixture with therapeutically tolerable diluents or carriers. The compounds possess hypolipemic and hypocholesterolemic activities.
