1303646 Pharyngeal airway BIOLOGICAL INSTRUMENTS Ltd 23 Sept 1970 [12 Aug 1969] 40231/69 Heading A5T A breathing device comprises two laterally disposed elastomeric tubes 1 joined at both ends by sleeves 5 and 7 and fitted with webs 6 and 8 respectively, enabling the device to be positioned firmly in a patient's trachea. Each tube, which is of annular cross section consists of a straight portion 2, a curved portion 3 and a downwardly directed portion 4. Holes 10 may be provided in the walls of the tube. A radially, extending flange 9 surrounds the front ends of the tubes.
