Abstract
1297789 Rendering suede leather oil repellent MINNESOTA MINING & MFG CO 20 Oct 1969 [21 Oct 1968] 51394/69 Heading C6C [Also in Division B2] Suede leather is rendered oil repellent by tumbling it with dry particles of a fluorochemical capable of imparting oil repellency to leather and having a m.p. below 200‹C, or an aqueous emulsion or dispersion thereof until the fluorochemical is uniformly distributed over the surface. The fluorochemical is used in an amount of at least 0À05% by wt. of the suede leather. The amount of water added to the suede leather in the use of the emulsion or dispersion does not exceed 7% by wt. of the suede leather.
