Abstract

1296697 Packed ammunition PJPROTARD and J LACOSTE 10 Dec 1969 [10 Dec 1968] 60394/69 Heading F3A [Also in Division B8] Packed ammunition comprises a piece of ammunition (not shown) packed in two correspondingly shaped polystyrene shell halves 3, Fig. 12, with a tip of the ammunition supported in a polythene cap which has a deformable outer part 5a, Fig. 1, formed with ribs 5c, and a conical, tip-receiving part 5b stiffened with ribs 5d. The ammunition is vacuum sealed in a tearable polyamide envelope and the shell halves are held tightly together when inserted in a wooden or cardboard box. The polystyrene shell halves enable the packed ammunition to float.
