Abstract

1295551 Treatment chambers JOHNSON & JOHNSON 20 Feb 1970 [20 Feb 1969] 8235/70 Heading A5R [Also in Division F4] In a treatment chamber comprising two opposed side walls (13, 14), Figure 1, not shown, a roof containing an air duct 16 having a lower perforated wall 25 for evenly distributing low velocity purified air downwardly through the chamber and a bottom exhaust duct 17, the two remaining opposed open sides are each closed by curtains 110, 111 of high velocity air directed downwardly from the periphery of the air duct 16. The air curtains are directed by structures 30, 31 each of which comprises a pair of pivotable plates 33, 34, the relative positions of which are respectively adjustable by brackets 35, 36 having adjusting screws 37, 38 respectively Exhausted air is recirculated to the air duct through a purifying device Figure 2 not shown wherein the air is saturated with liquid, heated or cooled to adjust the temperature and relative humidity to their desired values and purified by passage through a filter and exposure to ultra-violet radiation.
