1295438 Cutting bits HOY CARBIDES Ltd 13 Nov 1969 [6 Dec 1968] 58197/68 Heading B3T A cutting bit 10 for a lathe tool comprises at least one cutting edge 11 which has extending therealong and adjacent thereto a chip groove 12 of constant depth and arcuate cross-section and which tapers in width along its length. The cutter may be of polygonal configuration with cutting edges 12 along each of its polygonal sides and a groove 12 along each edge. A small land 13 may be provided between the cutting edge 11 and the groove 12.
