Abstract

1293432 Drying strips T KOBAYASHI 21 Aug 1970 40372/70 Heading F4G In a method and apparatus for drying strips of coated base material the strip is passed between hot gas jets which cause it to follow at least two parallel paths; each path being of wavy configuration. The apparatus shown is one section of such a path. Boxes 1 are supplied with hot air through ducts 12 and direct it in jets through ports 3 in convex faces 2. The boxes are arranged one above the other in use on each side of the strip P in an overlapping relationship. A plurality of boxes form each drying path and the strip leaving the path is passed around box 4 to a parallel path (not shown).
