Abstract
1292311 Vibrators T B PEARSON & SONS (ENGS) Ltd 29 July 1970 [14 Aug 1969] 40612/69 Heading F2X [Also in Division E1] A vibratory compactor comprises a housing 17 enclosing an hydraulic motor 10 and an eccentric weight 12 driven thereby, a head member consisting of an upper frame member 19 having means 20 for connection to a tractor and a bottom frame member 21 connected with the housing by means of a plurality, preferably four, of vibration spring legs 18. The upper and bottom frame members are relatively rotatable and are locked in a selected one of a number of positions by locking pins 23 (only one being shown). A suitable tamping plate 24 can be attached to a base-plate 17a of the housing 17 by bolts 25. The motor 10 in use is connected to an hydraulic power supply, e.g. a pump, on the tractor. In use rotation of the eccentric weight effects vibration of the housing and tamping plate relative to the head member.
