1291632 Benzodiazepines UPJOHN CO 5 Feb 1970 [17 March 1969 29 Oct 1969] 34769/71 Divided out of 1291631 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R=H, C 1-3 alkyl, Ph, PhCH 2 , COO(C 1-4 alkyl); R 1 =H, C 1-3 alkyl; R 2-5 = H, C 1-3 alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl or alkanoylamino, di-(C 1-3 alkyl) amino, halogen, NO 2 , CN, CF 3 ) are prepared by condensing the corresponding benzodiazepine-2-thione with RCONHNH 2 . The starting materials are prepared by reacting the corresponding benzodiazepin-2-one with phosphorus pentasulphide.
