1281526 Antidiabetic plant extracts LAWSON TAIT MEDICAL & SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH TRUST 11 Aug 1969 [25 Oct 1968] 50776/68 Heading A5B An antidiabetic composition is obtained by the aqueous or aqueous alcoholic extraction of the bark, root or leaves of a plant selected from those listed below. The extract, usually in the nature of an infusion, may be administered orally and is thought to contain the same active substances in each case. The plants are: Chrysophyllum glyciphleum Casar, Sapotaceas; Anacardium Occidentale L., Anacardiaceas; Caesalpina ferrea M., Leguminosas (div. Caesalpiniacea); Solanum paniculatum L., Solanaceas; Bauhinia raddiana Bong., Leguminosas (div. Caesalpiniacea); Phyllanthus Miruri; Apuleia ferrea M., Leguminosas (div. Caesalpiniacea); Myrcia sphaerorarpa Dc.; Baccharis genistelloides Baccharis triptera; Sarandi Blanco (Phyllanthus sellowianas).
