1276925 1,3,4 - Thiadiazolylureas FARBEN FABRIKEN BAYER AG 15 May 1969 [22 May 1968] 24853/69 Heading C2C Novel 1,3,4-thiadiazolylureas of the formula wherein R is haloalkyl or trifluoroalkylalkoxy, R<SP>1</SP> is H, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or alkoxy, R<SP>11</SP> is H or alkyl, and R<SP>111</SP> is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, chloroalkyl, alkoxyalkyl or unsubstituted or substituted aryl are prepared by reacting the appropriate 2 - amino - 1,3,4 - thiadiazole with either an acid chloride of the formula in the presence of a solvent and an acid binding agent or with an isocyanate of the formula in the presence of a solvent. Herbicidal compositions contain the above novel compounds in admixture with solid diluents or carriers or in admixture with liquid diluents or carriers containing surface active agents. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,195,672.
