Abstract

1,268,397. Reverse osmosis. A.P.V. CO. Ltd. 14 Sept., 1970 [13 June, 1969], No. 30099/69. Heading B1X. A plurality of reverse osmosis units are assembled in packs with aligned apertures 13 and 13a. The individual units comprise a pair of adjacent plates 12. The porous element 14 has on either side a soft supporting sheet 15 and beyond that a permeable membrane 16. The plates 12 have baffles 21 giving serpentine flow and corrugations 22 which give turbulence at the surface of the membrane. (For Figures see next page)
