Abstract
1,262,441. Bowden mechanisms. H. TADA. 6 Jan., 1970 [6 Jan., 1969], No. 688/70. Heading F2K. In a push-pull Bowden cable assembly comprising a multi-strand wire core member 1 slidable in a tubular casing 7, the core member is covered with a solid lubricant 2, e.g. polyoxyethylene or poly chloroethylene, applied as a solution which covers the whole surface of the core and penetrates its interstices, and the solvent is allowed to evaporate. The casing 7 is of a helically wound wire and carries an end cap 6 with a dust seal 3 thereon.
