Abstract

1,259,959. Releasable fastenings. B. DIXONBATE Ltd. 19 March, 1969 [20 Dec., 1967], No. 14357/69. Divided out of 1,234,390. Heading E2B. An attachment device for use in securing cargo in a cargo space is adapted for engagement in an elongate slot of an attachment plate 10, the device comprising a member 20 having a slot 22 for receiving a strap, formations 24, 26 for engaging in the elongate slot of the attachment plate and a carrying spring loaded locking finger 34 pivotally actuable by a trigger 36 between a position on which it allows insertion or withdrawal of the device into or out of the slot and a position in which it prevents withdrawal of the device from the slot. In the construction shown the formations consist of a stepped projection 24 at one end portion of the member 20 and a plain projection 26 at the opposite end portion of the member 20; recesses 28 and 30 are respectively located adjacent the projections 24 and 26 to accommodate the peripheral edge portions 32 of the attachment plate in the slot 12.
