Abstract
1,253,433. Digital transmission systems. SIEMENS A.G. 21 July, 1969 [22 July, 1968], No. 36520/69. Heading H4P. Each of a series of digital data words, each containing redundant bits, is fed to a one word shift register under the control of clock pulses from a generator started by a Start bit accompanying the word. When the Start bit reaches the last stage of the register the generator is stopped and the contents of the register, apart from the Start and Stop bits, is read out in parallel to a circuit which checks and removes the redundant bits. The remaining part of the word, possibly after code conversion, passes to the first of a series of one-word stores. When a word appears in the last of these stores the generator is prevented from further operation.
