Abstract

1,249,458. Thermal insulation. H. SULLHOFER. 24 Feb., 1970 [24 Feb., 1969], No. 8937/70. Heading F2X. Thermal insulation element 10 is formed of a core of expanded polyurethane, 11, in which is embedded a reinforcement plate 16. The coating layers 12, 13 are bonded to the core 11. The holes, 17, in the plate 16, contain the core material and lock the plate thereto. Angles 14, 15 extend along the longitudinal edges of the insulation and serve to secure adjacent elements together. Polystyrene may be used in place of polyurethane.
