Abstract

1,247,753. Anti-theft devices. C. CARTER. 2 Oct., 1969 [25 June, 1969], No. 32103/69. Heading B7J. [Also in Division E2] An anti-theft device for a motor vehicle door lock of the kind having a lock housing extending outwardly from the door and a lever handle attached to the lock housing, the device including a cover member for covering a keyhole on the outer side of the lock housing, locking means adapted for surrounding the lock housing between the door and the locking means with the cover member. The device may be a cylindrical tube 1 having one end 5 closed and a cut-away portion in the cylindrical wall which device clasps the door handle with two arms 2, 4 in which the arm 2 is rigidly attached tangentially to the cylinder 1 and the arm 4 is pivotally mounted on the cylinder and is provided with a slot 10 through which the first arm 2 may engage, the first arm 2 being provided at its free end with an aperture 8 for receiving a padlock.
