Abstract

1,234,832. Injection moulding. GUMMIWERKE BERLIN VEB. 5 July, 1968, No. 32292/68. Heading B5A. Resilient hollow bodies of elastomeric material are produced in an injection mould by preheating moulding material 1 capable of crosslinking, and causing it to flow from a chamber 2 by a piston 3 into a number of mould cavities 5, each cavity incorporating a core 8 surrounding a spindle 12, whereby cross-linking of the moulding material occurs in the cavities. The hollow bodies are removed from their cores by a mixture of hot air and steam from the cores.
