Abstract
1,223,661. Fluidic digital devices. KOMBINAT MESS - UND REGELUNGSTECHNIK DESSAU VEB. 16 Jan., 1969, No. 2568/69. Heading G4P. A fluidic digital device comprises (Fig. 2) a plate carrier having auxiliary air connection 6 on which are superimposed a structural element plate 3 of hard rubber, a cover plate 4 of soft rubber and a connection plate 2 having connections 8 for input and 9 for output signals; the pack being pressed together by screws and nuts 7. The structural element plate comprises a base 10 with raised flanges 11 to 16 and 20, the flanges 11 defining six jet elements 5 (Fig. 4), and other flanges 12 to 16 defining a boundary, decoupling and dividing the jet elements, supporting the cover plate and isolating the screw bores. The flanges uniformly support the pressure of cover plate 4. A bore 17 admits auxiliary air into a chamber 18 defined by flange 12, distributing over throttles formed by the flanges 20 to inputs 21 of the jet elements. The signal outputs defined by horseshoe flanges offset from flanges 11 are divided from auxiliary air by flanges 13, while bores 19 for connections 7 are isolated by flanges 16. Cover plate 4 incorporates interconnecting passages (Fig. 3, not shown) sealed off by the connection plate 2, and plural such elements may be associated in a single assembly.
