Abstract

Projectiles.-Relates to armourpiercing revolver bullets of the kind in which a small pointed hard metal pellet is fixed in the front end of a mass of heavy soft metal, and consists in forming the small pellet with a broad rear end surface that is backed by the greater portion or the whole of the soft metal mass. The pellet b is preferably made of hardened steel, and the soft body a may be of lead or lead-antimony alloy. Several constructions of bullets are described, examples of which are shown in Figs. 1, 4, and 5.
