Abstract

1,204,286. Valves. E. PAGLIARO, and G. MORICI. 6 May, 1969 [6 May, 19681, No. 23162/69. Heading F2V. An electromagnetically-operated valve has a fixed magnetic core 5 with passages 34, 35 therethrough separating two chambers 10, 11 in which closure members 15, 26 carried by movable magnetic cores 16, 27 control the flow through the passages. Each closure member is carried by a bar 19, 30 extending diametrically across the respective movable core and is biased towards the fixed core by a spring 22, 33. Cup-shaped deflectors 12, 23 are mounted in the external connections 14, 25 to prevent flow actuating the valve member. Non-magnetic cap 17, 28 secured to the movable cores which are biased away from the fixed core by springs 18, 29 prevent attraction opposed to that of the fixed core 5 when the coil 4 is energized to seat both closure members. Control of fluid flow through the valve when the closure members are seated may be varied by altering the rates of springs 22, 33.
