[Also in Division G5] An optical projector for the projection of continuously changing coloured patterns includes a disc 13 with transparent coloured portions 17 and a mosaic 14 of irregular transparent pieces of material, and mechanism for rotating the disc and reciprocating the mosaic with both intercepting the optical axis of a projection system including lamp 1 and lenses 3, 4, 5 and 6. Mosaic 14 is oscillated in guides 18 by cam 19 on driven shaft 15 carrying a disc 13. In a modification, disc 13 is hollow and contains non-mixing coloured liquids.
