A support structure for a barrel-shaped roof light comprises an upper support surface 21 22 which forms a portion of a cylindrical surface and a second portion 14 extending in a plane which subtends the support surface 21 22 and which may support a plane glass &c sheet, the surface 21 22 supporting a glass &c sheet which may be originally formed of barrel shape or which may be deformed from a plane sheet held to the surface 21 22 by a frame 25, 26 Fig. 2, fittingly connected to the frame carrying the surface 21, 22, and the frame portion 14 is supported on the top of a frustrum 5, 6 of a pyramid which at is base is connected to a flat frame. All the portions and frames may form an integral unit for securing to a flat portion of a roof.
