Abstract
1,200,523. Crispy food products. IMPERIAL TOBACCO CO. OF CANADA Ltd. 17 July, 1968 [18 July, 1967], No. 34126/68. Heading A2B. Raw, dried, or cooked food materials are communited and formed into a slurry, which slurry contains naturally present or additional binder, for example starch, cellulose, gums or sugars, the slurry is formed into a thin sheet which is partially dried and formed into pieces, and these pieces are then dried to a moisture content of less than 6 per cent to give a crispy product. The food material may be vegetable, fruit, or meat. Examples refer to apples, tomatoes, celery, onions, and carrots.
