Abstract

1,194,529. Weft stop motions. HEBERLEIN & CO. A.G. 19 May, 1969 [17 May, 1968], No. 25508/69. Heading D1E. A weft stop motion unit, for insertion into a shuttle and cooperation with a receiver on the sley, comprises a pivoted arm 4 which is moved against an inductor 9, in an inductive circuit, by the weft 3 and is moved away from the inductor upon weft failure by a magnet 7, the arrangement being such that when the arm is moved away on weft failure the impedance of the inductive circuit is altered and the receiver on the sley stops the loom. The inductive circuit comprises the inductor 9, a condenser 12 and a coil 11 and the arrangement may be such that weft failure causes the arm to move to the inductor (Fig. 2, not shown). An arrangement with only one coil (Fig. 3, not shown) is described and the restoring force on the arm miay be two magnets (Fig. 4, not shown).
