Abstract

1,175,733. Photographic non-silver print-out compositions. HORIZONS Inc. April 3, 1967 [April 22, 1966], No. 15218/67. Heading G2C. A light-sensitive non-silver print-out composition containing (a) a colour-forming compound which is an amine or a styryl, cyanine or merocyanine dye base or a lenco di- or tri-phenyl methane compound, and (b) an activator which is an organic halogen compound, a sulphur-containing compound such as an aryl or heterocyclic mercaptan or disulphide or a sulphur- and halogencontaining compound such as an aryl sulphonyl or sulphenyl halide, contains as a sensitivityincreasing compound at least one compound containing an N#O group, such as a tertiary amine oxide, a heterocyclic-N-oxide or a nitrone or dinitrone of the formula:- where R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are each hydrogen, alkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl, substituted aryl or alkenyl. A binder may be present and the print-out images may be fixed by heat or a solvent wash.
