Abstract

117,451. Pegram, G. B. June 23, 1917, [Convention date]. Antiseptics.-The solubility in water, alcohol, acetone, &c. of the addition compounds of hexamethylenetetramine and iodine, especially the tetraiodo compound, is increased by the addition of potassium iodide or other halide of an alkali metal or ammonium. The materials may be made up in tablet form or in solution. The products have antiseptic and germicidal properties.
