Abstract

1,163,572. Stud and socket fastenings. F. T. PRODUCTS Ltd. 2 Sept., 1966 [2 Sept., 1965], No. 37541/65. Heading E2B. An assembly of a member 18 with an elongated slot 20 attached to an apertured support 19 includes a fastener 10 comprising a shank 11 .engaged in the aperture in the support to secure the fastener thereto, a head 12 which extends through the slot 20 and the maximum cross-sectional dimension of which is substantially less than the minimum transverse dimension of the slot, a main flange 17 at one end of the head adjacent the shank positioned between the member and the support and the maximum cross sectional dimension of which is greater than the length of the slot and a retaining flange 16 at the other end of the head positioned against the surface of the member remote from the support and having a maximum transverse crosssectional dimension lying between the length and width of the slot.
