Abstract
1,141,416. Valves. HYDRAULIC UNIT SPECIALTIES CO. 13 Sept., 1967, No. 41743/67. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] An hydraulic control valve for governing flow of pressure fluid to and from the head and rod ends of a double-acting lift cylinder 6, has the inlet 16 connected to a supply passage 14<SP>1</SP> which has two branches 18, 19 interconnected by a check valve 20. When the spool 10 is moved to the position shown which is a highspeed lift position, the return fluid from the rod end of the cylinder passes through port 31 and branch 19 to flow with the supply fluid past the check valve 20 and port 30 to the head end of the cylinder. If the spool is moved to the left from the position shown to a slow-lift position, the fluid returning to port 31 flows through port 33 to the reservoir. Further movement of the spool to the left moves it into neutral position in which the inlet 14 is connected to the outlet 15. Movement of the spool to the left of neutral to the lowering position connects the inlet to port 31 while the head end of the cylinder is connected to the reservoir via restriction 42 and port 32 with communication to branch 18 cutoff.
