Keywords and boolean syntax (USPTO or EPO format): seat belt searches these two words, or their plurals and close synonyms. "seat belt" searches this exact phrase, in order. -seat -belt searches for documents not containing either word.
For searches using boolean logic, the default operator is AND with left associativity. Note: this means safety OR seat belt is searched as (safety OR seat) AND belt. Each word automatically includes plurals and close synonyms. Adjacent words that are implicitly ANDed together, such as (safety belt), are treated as a phrase when generating synonyms.

A plastics closure cap 10 for a film cartridge container 11 also made of plastics has a skirt with a beaded lower edge 23 which, as the cap is pushed home, first slides over a tapered upper edge 16 of the container, then snaps into a first groove 18, and finally snaps into a second groove 19 adjacent a shoulder 20. An inner sealing wall 24 fits snugly against the inside of the container. The outer surface of the cap skirt is knurled. Should the cap 10 be accidentally dislodged, the skirt bead 23 snaps into the first, upper, groove 18, to prevent its complete removal.
