Abstract

1,125,834. Band clips. CLARRED ENG. CO. Ltd. 23 June, 1967 [18 May, 1966], No. 2198566. Heading E2B. A worm-drive band clip includes a housing formed with indentations or inturned leaf portions 15, which engage a peripheral groove 16 formed in the screw to axially locate the latter in the housing, and a washer 14, freely mounted on the screw between the screw head and the housing prevents the screw being drawn into the housing upon excessive screw tightening. The washer 14 is substantially semi-circular, Fig. 2 (not shown), and is formed with lugs 14a, which abut pant of the housing to prevent rotation of the washer. The groove 16 and the indentations may be located adjacent the head of the screw.
