Abstract

1,119,563. Sawtooth generating circuits. FERNSEH G.m.b.H. 22 July, 1965 [22 July, 1964], No. 31372/65. Headings H3P and H3T. In a field time-base of the type in which a linearity correcting feedback voltage is generated by differentiating, amplifying and integrating the deflecting current, the input to the amplifier is applied in such a manner that spurious voltage impulses, e.g. line pulses arising during the flyback are removed. In Fig. 3, the deflecting current is differentiated by transformer 27, roughly filtered at 32-35, amplified by a valve 31 and integrated by a resistor 12 and a capacitor 23, the latter being charged and discharged to generate the input waveform for the driver valve 22. The sense of the correcting voltage 31 is such as to cut the valve 31 off during the flyback so that rectification in the valve of spurious line frequency pulses is prevented. In Fig. 4, the input waveform for the transistor driver amplifier 46-43 is generated by charging a capacitor 47 through a transistor 48 and discharging it through 50. The deflection current in deflection coils 2, 2<SP>1</SP> is differentiated by transformer 51 roughly filtered by 52-56 amplified by 57 and integrated by controlling the current through charging transistor 48. Again, the correcting voltage is in such a sense that amplifier 57 is cut-off during the flyback. Feedback through a capacitor 59 further improves the deflection linearity.
