Abstract

111,621. Schaanning, A., and Thompson, J. L. April 13, 1917. Tanks.-The tank of an electric transformer is made with sheet-metal sides 1 welded to a sheetmetal base 3, and the base is embedded in concrete or other cementitious matter 5 which surrounds the welded joints. The metal base may be strengthend by ribs 10, and the concrete structure by an angle-iron ring 11, or other reinforcing means.
