Abstract

1,108,515. Discharging static electricity. INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL CO. Ltd. 20 Sept.. 1966 [22 Sept., 1965], No. 40370/65. Heading H1X. In a static eliminator of the type described in Specification 921,473, in which the electrodes are capacitively coupled to a conductive member, the electrodes 3 are embedded in a plurality of apertured units 5 of insulating material are threaded over a cable 2 carrying the conductive member and are located in end-toend relation within the casing 1. Pairs of electrodes 3 are formed by the ends of wire coils 4 closely encircling the insulating sheath of the cable 2 and enclosed in "beads " 5 of insulating material having interlocking spigots 5a and recesses 5b.
